Burlington mayor Rick Goldberg would like to discuss Waterdown becoming a part of Burlington as opposed to Hamilton. He is arguing Waterdown is “isolated from Hamilton and has much more in common with Burlington and Halton Region.” Which geographically makes sense.This change would reflect in the taxes of Waterdown by decreasing them; because Burlington has a lower tax bracket than Hamilton.
